During the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie, Montblanc celebrated the spirit of racing and the unveiling of its new TimeWalker collection with a cocktail and gala dinner at the Brasserie Des Halles de L’Ile in Geneva. On arrival at the iconic space located on a small island right in the centre of the Rhone River, guests were transported to the golden days of motor racing of the 1960s and 1970s, a time when great champions broke new records and battled for victory to take the highest step on the podium.
With vintage cars, chequered flags and trophies, Montblanc brought to life the spirit and determination of these early racing drivers seeking victory, their magnificent automobiles, and the instruments of glory that timed their exhilarating victories. Against this vibrant backdrop of performance and victory, Monbtlanc introduced the TimeWalker Collection of evocative professional timepieces that bring together the heritage of the legendary Minerva timing instruments with the finest technology and a vintage-themed racing style.
Brand ambassadors Hugh Jackman, Charlotte Casiraghi, Guey Lun Mei and Montblanc CEO Jérôme Lambert were joined by friends of the brand including actor Pierre Niney, actress Macarena Gomez with husband Aldo Comas, actor Luca Argentero, Victoria’s Secret Models Ana Beatriz Barros and Joan Smalls as well as model and influencer Neels Visser.
As they entered the courtyard of the grand building on their way to the cocktail reception, guests admired the magnificent vintage cars from the era. The vintage-themed racing style of the new TimeWalker collection was carried through the space with its distinctive red and white dial markings. The elegant design cues evoking speed, precision and performance were a reminder that victory can only ever be determined by accurately timed results.
The pieces from the TimeWalker collection were on display inside glass cases set around the cocktail area. A watchmaker working at his bench offered guests and watch aficionados a closer look at the technicity of the new chronographs and an understanding of the extraordinary heritage of Minerva, still nurtured by today’s finest watchmakers. For one night, guests could become racing champions by having their picture taken inside a booth with racing animations.
Following this journey of discovery into the heart of Montblanc’s world of precision chronographs, the evening continued with a seated dinner in a candle-lit room.
For the evening, special guest Charlotte Casiraghi dazzled in a Bohème ExoTourbillon Slim Jewellery and Guey Lun Mai sported a Bohème red gold timepiece watch. Hugh Jackman wore the new TimeWalker Chronograph.
