Bahrain’s first international promotion, Brave Combat Federation announced this Wednesday (1) the headliner of this first international edition, scheduled to March 18th, in Curitiba, Brazil. The main event for Brave 3 is going to be the long-awaited clash of the rivals Lucas “Mineiro” Martins and Paulo “Bananada” Gonçalves.
Martins and Gonçalves were supposed to set their differences inside the cage three times in the past, but for different reasons the bout never came to be. Now they will face each other in the global stage of Brave Combat Federation, the MMA promotion founded under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad al Khalifa.
Lucas Martins, who had already been announced for Brave as one of the stars of the Brazilian fight card, has a professional record of 18 wins and only three losses. Fighting out of São Paulo, Brazil, from the Chute Boxe – Diego Lima team, Lucas is currently in a three-win streak.
Paulo Gonçalves is a long-time vet, with 33 professional fights, among which 22 ended up with the Rio de Janeiro based fighter victorious. Training at the famous X-Gym camp, alongside with none other than Anderson Silva, considered for many as the greatest Mixed Martial Artist of all time, Paulo won his last fight, in January, against Nilson Pereira.
Brave 3: Battle in Brazil is set to take place on March 18th, in Curitiba, state of Paraná, Brazil. After two very successful events in the Kingdom of Bahrein in 2016, that will be the first international installment of Brave Combat Federation.
