Heads up, moon watchers.

If you are an avid moon watcher, or if you would like to see a nice celestial event, then all you have to do is look up to the skies between 1.34am and 3.45am on Saturday.

The year’s first penumbral lunar eclipse will be visible overhead in Qatar, reported Gulf Times.

A penumbral eclipse is when the moon passes through an outer region of the Earth’s shadow called ‘penumbra.’ This is the outer part of the Earth’s shadow.

The four hours and 19 minutes-long eclipse will end over Doha’s sky at 5.53am, just before sunrise.

Will you be watching the skies on Saturday?
